Commission publication
aims to prevent discrimination
in Alberta's hospitality industry

The Commission is promoting its publication Human rights in the hospitality industry. The publication aims to:

  • help management and staff at Alberta  hotels, restaurants, bars and nightclubs prevent discrimination and resolve problems related to discrimination in the delivery of their services;

  • help those who work in Alberta's hospitality industry treat customers fairly and equally; and

  • help customers understand their rights and responsibilities related to human rights when receiving services from the hospitality industry.

Due to confidentiality concerns, the Commission cannot reply to complaints of discrimination using the Internet. Please contact the Commission by telephone or regular mail if you have a specific complaint.
